Kroz kombinaciju bogatog arhivskog materijala, fotografija i dokumenata
stvorena je filmska freska o borbi srpskog i drugih naroda bivše
Jugoslavije za oslobađanje od okupatora i konačno ujedinjenje u
zajedničku državu. Pošvaši od uzroka rata, prvih borbi i pobeda, kraha
države i albanske golgote iz 1915. godine, preko vaskrsa srpske vojske
na Krfu i borbi na Solunskom frontu za povratak na rodnu grudu, ovaj
film sažima čitavu epopeju krvavih godina 1914 – 1918. S druge strane u
njemu se objašnjavaju i zakulisne radnje oko stvaranja jugoslovenske
države, neiskrenost i neprincipijelnost Saveznika prema namučenoj i
ratom uništenoj Srbiji, kao i neslaganja glavnih aktera u zemlji i
inostranstvu oko ustrojstva nove države, iznikle na pepelu ogromnih
žrtava prvog svetskog rata.
Film is created through a combination of
rich archival material, photographs and documents about the struggle of
the Serbian and other peoples of the former Yugoslavia to liberate unite
into one state. Starting from the causes of war, and the victory of the
first battle, the collapse of the state and the Albanian Golgotha of
1915. year over Easter in Corfu the Serbian Army and fight in the
Salonika front to return to the native land, the film sums up the whole
bloody saga 1914 - 1918. On the other hand it explains the behind the
scenes action on the creation of the Yugoslav state, dishonesty and lack
of principles and tormented by the Allied war devastated Serbia and
disagreement main players in the country and abroad about the structure
of the new state, have sprung up on the ashes of the huge casualties of
the First World War.
